Growing Pains

What are growing pains?

Many people attribute pains of the hips, knees, legs, shins, ankles or feet to ‘growth spurts’ in children. From our experience at Elite Podiatry, majority of these cases are the result of biomechanical malalignment. Although, some cases of “night pains” in children can be attributed to an episode of increased activity often without appropriate footwear. This puts increased stress and pressure on the small joints, muscles, and ligaments of your child, causing them pain or discomfort.

It is important to have your child appropriately assessed by one of our expert podiatrists at Elite Podiatry.
