Corns are often a source of pain and discomfort. At Elite Podiatry, we can help treat and resolve this problem
What causes Corns on the feet?
There are several reasons corns can occur. Some of these include the following:
- Abnormal walking pattern (orthotics may reduce this)
- Toe deformities
- Narrow fitting shoes
- Walking barefooted
- Standing up for long hours, especially on hard floors
- Diabetes
How Corns are treated?
Our podiatrists at Elite Podiatry use specialised instruments to provide quick and efficient removal or “enucleation” of the corn, providing immediate relief. We also look at reasons why the corn is forming in the first place and work with you to develop individualised strategies to reduce reoccurrence.
We can also provide custom-made splints to help offload the area. Remember, all consultations are eligible for private health fund rebate.
At Elite Podiatry, we often use adjunct therapies to offer the most effective form of treatment.
Depending on your requirements, we will customise a treatment suitable to your needs.
Please call us at Elite Podiatry to organise an appointment for an assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
